Full time Commercial Interior Designer
We’re now hiring for a Commercial Interior Designer at Richardson Design Inc. in Cleveland, OH!
Richardson Design, a Cleveland, OH based Interior Design firm specializing in the creation of strategic, meaningful brand experience, is seeking an Interior Designer to join our creative team. Working collaboratively with our design team, you will help develop highly innovative and creative solutions for companies of all sizes both across the country and internationally. We create the places where you want to be, namely in environments for restaurant, hospitality, leisure, and entertainment.

Typical day in the life as a Commercial Interior Designer:
· Always a Team Player. Be active in our collaborative studio environment.
· Create dynamic and applicable design solutions to meet project criteria.
· Ability to communicate design concepts through sketching, drawing, and rendering.
· Ability to excel in an environment with fast-paced project deadlines.
· Adaptable to change.
· Coordinate design control documents including interior design drawing sets, material, and furniture specifications.
· Prepare and co-lead client presentations.
· Overall project organization through the maintaining of project master file; ordering/receiving of project samples; project archival.
· Represent Richardson Design in a confident, professional, and well-spoken manner to our clients, colleagues, vendors, and the public.
· Travel as a representative of Richardson Design, on both project and non-project (industry) related matters (occasional).
· Stay current on market trends and research as it relates to branded environment design and communicating it to other team members.
· Takes initiative to self-learn and continue professional development.
What are we looking for?
· Bachelor’s degree in interior design.
· 1-5 years of Commercial Interior Design experience in a professional setting.
· A portfolio of work which demonstrates superior skills as a designer and problem solver; as well as strong presentation, communication, and organization skills.
· Intermediate Revit knowledge preferred, but at least one year of recent Revit Experience in a professional setting required.
· Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Escape, and Lumion a plus.
· Experience in designing hospitality, retail, or other branded environments a plus.
· Knowledge and experience to take a project concept through development and implementation.
· Ability to manage time, be accountable, and to be extremely communicative.
